I don’t think there’s anything more classic than a pair of dark denim jeans and a flow-y crisp white tank. If I had to wear an outfit everyday for the rest of my life that’s hands down what I would pick. So for this outfit I put more of a summer twist on it by wearing denim cut-offs and a collared short sleeve white tunic. I fell in love with this top when I first saw and am planning on transitioning it to a fall outfit with some leather leggings/OTK boots/& lots of gold accessories, but before I get ahead of myself let’s enjoy the last few weeks of summer! The top also comes in a chambray color as well that is just as gorgeous PLUS it’s on sale! Outfit details are below!
I loooooove a good pair of loafers, and lately i’ve been obsessing over these gorgeous tassel loafers! They’re super comfortable, and I love the more casual look with loafers that just slide on your feet. They come in tons of different colors and come in leather as well for a more polished look. The top I have on is one of my spring/summer favorites from Lou & Grey. If you all don’t know about Lou & Grey they are the sister store to Loft. Their looks are more casual than Loft and are sometimes a little pricier, but I feel like the material they use is better than Loft so you get what you pay for. I am always drooling over anything in their ‘signature soft’ collection. The material is so soft and cozy and they are perfect for everyday wear, but I love to wear any ‘signature soft’ pieces when I’m traveling! The jeans I have on are Madewell but were way too long on me so instead of getting them hemmed (YOU GUESSED IT) I did a DIY raw hem! Outfit details are below.
So I am a serial shirt stealer, especially with any of Drew’s shirts because they’re comfortable, broken in, and oversized. However, I may have found one that is dare I say…. better. The material is so soft, light, and is the right amount of slouchy. I definitely think you can dress it up or down and can be worn in any season. I’ve worn it with jeans/leggings/shorts/etc. You can tuck it in or leave it out. IT’S SO FREAKING VERSATILE!! There are tons of different color options as well and am contemplating getting it in another color because I wear this one ALL. THE. TIME. Plus it also looks killer with your hair up so you can show off that décolletage. Outfit details are below!
MORE. STRIPES. *say it louder for the people in the back* I’m back with yet another fab & comfy stripe-y top. It’s a navy/white wrap top and has a drape-y silhouette along with a button attached at the top so I wore it as a v-neck but you could also unbutton it and wear it as an open wrap top with a cute tank underneath! Unfortunately, the top just sold out at Anthro but I’ve linked a few other very similar styles as well! I paired these with my favorite white skinny jeans that I did a DIY raw hem on and now I wear them more than ever. I think raw hems look so much more chic and fitted than cuffed jeans. I’ve added some white skinny jeans that already have a raw hem as well as the original skinny jean I’m wearing that I added the raw hem to! All outfit details are below.
Hi all! So I’m definitely more of a plain jane when it comes to patterns, colors, etc. but one thing that I have always loved are some stripes! I think they’re subtle but visually appealing at the same time and can definitely give your outfit a little pop. I have been wearing this top basically all summer long because it’s so light and comfortable. You can tie the front to make it a high-low top or leave it as is. You could pair it with just about anything, but I love a good pair of white shorts to pull it all together. No joke- I’ve had these shorts since college and they are my favorite pair. I’m worried they may spontaneously combust one day because I’ve worn them for just about a dozen springs & summers. Not to mention they are the perfect length as well! Outfit details are listed below.
Whenever I see anyone wearing patterned pants the voice of Ron Burgundy gets inside my head saying, “It’s the pleats.. it’s actually an optical illusion.. it’s the pattern on the pants.” It never fails me. However, I have actually found patterned pants that are both flattering and comfortable. Anthropologie is killing it with their spring arrivals and as an avid customer- I have never been happier. My wallet, on the other hand, disagrees with this statement whole-heartedly. Wanna take a stab at where my shoes are from? Yep, Dolce Vita from Target.. I may or may not have a problem. Since I’m branching out with patterns and colors I had to have a neutral top to play it safe and I’m loving this little bubble top. It looks likes its tucked in but the bottom actually has an elastic band so I just pulled the band up and then let the rest of the shirt fall where it may. How cute would this be for Sunday morning brunch?
As you all know I’m super picky about clothing but jean shorts are definitely a piece that I’m very particular about. They have to be the right length, fit, material, and wash. I’m also pretty fussy about how destroyed they are. I like a little bit of frayed hems but not too much as I want the option to dress them up or down. I have been searching since last summer (no joke) for the perfect pair and I would always come out empty handed. All of that changed a few weeks ago when I finally found a pair that fit ALL of my needs and more. They are the perfect wash (not too light or too dark) and they fit so well! I sized up a full size just because I don’t like the look of super tight denim shorts. They are SO comfortable – plenty of room to move around and with a high waist they are crazy flattering as well! Also featured is one of my all-time favorite pull over sweaters. It’s a much lighter material than normal sweaters so you can wear it year round.
Have I mentioned how much I love chambray? I almost feel like it’s become a neutral because of how versatile it is and can basically be worn any season. Plus most chambray pieces are super comfortable and I’m all about that. I love how this material has branched out into other forms of clothing besides button down blouses! There are now chambray rompers, shorts, and other types of tops such as this fabulous off the shoulder piece. Also known as a ‘mamacita’ top to me. Just about every Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life always has some sort of mural of a Mexican woman in a red & ruffle-y off the shoulder dress. So when ‘off the shoulder’ tops/dresses became a thing I would just call it a mamacita top or dress & it has stuck with me ever since. Laugh all you want but this description has always made the most sense to me. Plus how much cooler does ‘mamacita’ sound than ‘off the shoulder’? Am I right or am I right? I also love mixing all different types of textures so pairing this soft chambray top with the crisp material of linen was a match made in heaven. I paired this look with some nude wedges and a gold necklace. If you haven’t read my previous posts then I have to let you know I have a love affair with chambray paired with a bright red lip so I didn’t hold back on this one! Details on my outfit below!
I love throwing together a relaxed & effortless look for just about any occasion especially when I’m breaking in a few new pieces for my spring wardrobe. This outfit is mixed with both high and low end pieces with lots of neutrals and soft mossy green colored shorts that I could seriously wear day after day because they are so comfortable. I think one of the most important things when I put an outfit together is making sure all of the clothes are easy to wear and versatile enough to style with other pieces, colors, & textures. The top that I’m wearing is my all time favorite white shirt and let me tell you a white tee is ESSENTIAL to any type of wardrobe. It’s one of my closet staples. I wear it with anything and everything plus it’s linen so its really light! Outfit details below.
Hopefully everyone remembered to “spring forward” last night. Losing an hour of sleep is not ideal but now we can look forward to longer days and warmer weather! We’ve had a really mild winter here in Atlanta which is making me look forward to spring that much more. I tend to wear a lot of black in the fall/winter months so I’ve recently started trading all my black clothes for white clothes which is what I typically like to wear during spring/summer. If I’m wearing the same color for my top & bottom I normally like to tuck in part of my top to break those pieces up. Warmer weather also means clothes in lighter textures and colors. You all know how much I love my neutrals but I love a fun pop of color every now and then like these gorgeous beaded tassel earrings from Anthropologie! Normally if I’m wearing a statement piece of jewelry I don’t like to wear any other jewelry so that piece is able to really stand out. I’m also obsessed with any shoes by Dolce Vita and when I heard they were doing a Target collaboration I was thrilled and beyond impressed with their DV for Target shoe line because you’re not sacrificing the quality for the affordable price point. The ones I’m wearing are super comfortable!
